Cutimed PROTECT | Swab

Cutimed PROTECT | Swab is een huidbeschermer. Het is een vloeistof met een sponsapplicator en vormt een duurzaam, waterdicht barrièrelaagje, dat de huid beschermt tegen kleefmassa, schuren, lichaamsafvalstoffen en spijsverterings- en wondvloeistoffen. Voor gebruik op de intacte of geïrriteerde huid.

Waterdichte barrière

Cutimed PROTECT vormt een waterdichte barrière, die een ideale bescherming vormt tegen lichaamsafvalstoffen en vloeistoffen, zoals wondvocht.

Beschermende barrière

Cutimed PROTECT beschermt intacte of geïrriteerde huid tegen irritaties veroorzaakt door kleefstoffen, wondvocht of incontinentie (urine of feces).

How to

1. Clean and dry the affected area before applying Cutimed PROTECT Foam Applicator.
2. & 3. Remove foam applicator from sachet and apply a uniform coating of film over affected area.
4. If an area is missed during the first application, allow Cutimed PROTECT Foam Applicator to dry (approximately 30 seconds) and then apply again only to the desired area.
When applying Cutimed PROTECT Foam Applicator to areas with skin folds or areas where skin touches skin, make sure that these areas are sufficiently exposed to air to allow the film to fully dry.
5. Using the product under adhesive tape, dressings or devices:
A: allow Cutimed PROTECT Foam Applicator to fully dry before covering the area with dressing or adhesive products.
B: Cutimed PROTECT Foam Applicator needs to be re-applied each time the dressing and/or adhesive products is/are changed; most adhesives will remove the barrier film.
Using the product for protection from body fluids, faeces or urine etc. without other adhesive products being applied to the skin:
A: it is recommended to re-apply Cutimed PROTECT Foam Applicator every 24–96 hours, depending on how often the area is cleaned.
B: in extreme cases (e.g. chronic diarrhoea) which involves very frequent skin cleansing, it may be necessary to re-apply the product more frequently (i.e. every 12–24 hours).
How to remove
If desired, the film can be removed with most medical adhesive removers following the directions of the manufacturer. Cleanse and dry the area and then re-apply Cutimed PROTECT Foam Applicator. Cutimed PROTECT Foam Applicator shall be applied by healthcare professionals only.
